...do the blossoms seem INSANE this year.
We have two bushes/trees in our garden, both of which were here when we moved in.
Can you help identify them?
They are both LOADED with blossoms at the moment and are so lovely, I would love to know what they are...
THIS ONE:
Pale pinky white blossoms |
AND THIS ONE:
They look similar (ish) but then what do I know?
Thanks in advance for ANY help you can provide...

My daughter, Korey, is the plant person. I just let her tell me what something is, then I forget the name and just enjoy the beauty. Spring blooms are always the most beautiful.
The blossoms do seem to be huge this year - lets hope its a good sign! xxxx
Here's Korey's take on your bushes.
"I think she's right, they look like the same flower and maybe the leaf. I think it's a Weigela (wy-gee-la)."
Oh thanks ATQ - I have seen a few pics now on the interweb and it def looks like the Weigela.

Hi, lovely pictures. The first picture of pale pink blossoms with a yellow throat looks like a Kolkwitzia amabilis and the second is definately a weigela both can be pruned directly after flowering taking out some of the oldest stems down to ground level.
